Part A - General
Furnish and install where shown on drawings, one Smith Koch Inc. factory assembled, packaged type duplex fuel oil set with controls on a structural steel base with drip pan.

Part B - Products
Pumps shall be positive displacement, spur gear model _______ with Buna-N lip seals, each rated at _____ gph, 10” Hg suction lift, _____ psig discharge pressure, directly connect through a flexible coupling to a ___ hp, 1750 rpm, __ phase, ___ Volt, TEFC (enclosure) motor. Pumps will be manufactured by Viking Pumps.

Part C - Specification
Pump set will include the following:

• The unit shall be mounted on a structural steel base with a minimum 2 ¾” drip pan, and shall include suction and discharge piping to a common inlet and outlet point. Two Viking Pump positive displacement gear pumps will be used. Each pump will be capable of delivering 100% of the required flow at the stated pressure. The pumps will be driven by two brand name, TEFC motors sized to deliver the stated relief valve pressure without using the motor service factor.
• The suction piping shall include one duplex strainer, one compound gauge and two ball valves for pump isolation. The discharge piping shall include a discharge pressure gauge for each pump, two check valves, two ball valves for pump isolation, and a common flow switch for lead/lag (optional). The set will contain piping and valving such that either pump can be serviced while the other pump continues to run. The piping shall be schedule 40 and the valves shall be bronze, screwed, class 125 suction and class 125 discharge.
• The motors will be controlled by a NEMA 1 cabinet including main disconnect switch, circuit breakers, magnetic motor starters and overloads for each pump, control circuit transformer with fused control circuit, lead/lag controls for automatic pump switching in case of failure (optional) and extra contacts for remote starting and emergency shutdown. The front panel of the cabinet will include pump selector switch, pump HOA switches and pilot lights. The set shall be pre-wired for single power feed. All wiring will be clearly identified and terminal strips shall be used for all external connections.
• Approved relief valves will be installed in the piping to protect the pumps and piping from excessive pressure. These valves will be piped into a common return line. Unit will be completely painted, wired and tested.
• The duplex set shall be a model ______ as manufactured by Smith Koch Inc. or approved equal.
